Okay Star Wars fans- this one's for you.
I was so excited when Corrina reached out to me back in August about having an engagement shoot in Sequoia National Park. Over the next few weeks, we had so much fun emailing back and forth and getting to know each other before their session. When Corrina mentioned to me that they were thinking about bringing their "battle grade" lightsabers to the shoot, I almost LOST IT with excitement.
The day of, I road tripped out to meet Corrina and Alex at Sequoia National Park, where we hiked the same trail that Alex proposed to Corrina in a few months prior. It was honestly such an incredible feeling to be out in the middle of all of these massive, towering sequoia trees right when autumn was really starting to hit. Saying that it was a beautiful day is such an understatement.
One of the best things about this session was being able to absolutely nerd out with Corrina and Alex, who are massive Star Wars, Disney, and Avatar the Last Airbender fans, which are also a few of my favorite things. I had them jump on rocks, fight out a battle scene, and even had Corrina pretend to decapitate her fiancé demonstrating how Anakin killed Count Dooku (scroll down to see this gem). Overall we laughed and captured some incredible pictures.
